Each year we send you important notices—things like privacy practices, how to get certain types of care, and more. We also want you to know what’s new from Kaiser Permanente to help make care more convenient. See it all in one place below.

Get care from home, 24/7
Get help diagnosing and treating minor conditions from the comfort of home—any time, 24/7! Get a phone or video visit with a Kaiser Permanente clinician with no appointment needed, usually within 20 minutes or less. There’s no copay for most plans.* It’s great for minor health conditions like cough, cold, flu, sinus problems, back pain, rashes, cuts, sprains, urinary concerns, and eye problems. Learn more about this and other options for getting care quickly.
*No cost for most plans. Due to IRS rules, if you have a HSA-qualified high deductible health plan (HDHP), you’ll pay the full cost for scheduled phone and video visits until you reach your deductible. Once you reach your deductible, your copay will be $0.

Make time for care
Don’t forget to take care of you this year.
- See if you’re due for screenings like breast cancer or colorectal cancer, and if so, make the time to get them done. Log in on kp.org and, right on your home screen, check if you have any “preventive care actions” listed.
- Haven’t seen your PCP (primary care physician) this year? Schedule a visit! Even meet by phone or video if you want.
- It’s almost that time of year where many people get sick with respiratory illnesses, so help keep yourself and your loved ones healthy with a flu shot and COVID-19 vaccine.
Schedule specialty care and radiology online
Now you can enjoy the convenience of online appointment scheduling for most Kaiser Permanente specialty appointments—and even some radiology exams. Simply log into kp.org any time, and in a few clicks, schedule an appointment.
Once you’ve been referred to a specialist or had radiology such as an MRI or CT ordered by your doctor, just log into your kp.org account. After logging in, you’ll be on your home page. Scroll down to Notifications and look for the button that says you have an appointment ticket. Click the box, and we’ll guide you through scheduling the appointment online!
Want to share your voice?
Consider applying for our Member Advisory Council. The virtual program is a way to:
- Volunteer your time to provide input and recommendations for improving member and care experience.
- Partner with our leaders and other improvement teams to ensure the voice of the member is at the center of everything we do.
Know before you go
Do you know where to go when it’s not an emergency but you need to be seen in person quickly? For things like sprains, fever, diarrhea, neck and back pain, or minor wounds and cuts, you can get walk-in care at one of about 100 affiliated urgent care centers. (Click the link, choose ‘View all filters’, and enter your ZIP to find your nearest location.) Most can handle X-rays, labs, and prescriptions, and many have extended or weekend hours.
At our three Kaiser Permanente locations with 24/7 advanced urgent care (Gwinnett, Southwood, and TownPark), you can get walk-in care any time for more serious urgent care issues like deeper cuts, broken bones, and stomach or chest pain. You’ll have access to emergency medicine doctors and advanced imaging like CT and ultrasound if needed.
Emergency Care*
In an emergency, you have access to any hospital emergency room, even if it’s not affiliated with Kaiser Permanente. If you choose an Emory hospital, you’ll usually have lower out-of-pocket costs and no claims to file. At Emory Decatur and Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospitals, your care is also coordinated by Kaiser Permanente doctors with access to your electronic health record.
Need help deciding where to go for care? You can call us 24/7 at 404-365-0966 (TTY 711).
* If you reasonably believe you have an emergency medical condition, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room. For the complete definition of an emergency medical condition, please refer to your Evidence of Coverage or other coverage documents.
‘Tis the season (for flu & COVID)
Test yourself for flu and COVID-19 from the comfort of home. Pick up an at-home testing kit at any Kaiser Permanente pharmacy. They’re fast, effective, inexpensive, and available without a prescription!
