Asata Reid-Moss

Asata Reid-Moss is a chef of two decades and health educator of 13 years. She holds a Masters in Public Health from Emory University, Masters in Education from the University of Kansas, and a Bachelors in Journalism from Florida A&M University. Chef Asata is a National Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach, Sleep Improvement Trainer and Smoking Cessation Facilitator. She is also a certified Community Doula, Stress Management Coach and Nutritionist. Chef Asata has taught cooking and nutrition classes in afterschool programs for 6 years for grades K-5 and facilitated a high school cooking club. Eternally a culinarian, Chef Asata is a Cooking Matters Facilitator, co-Food Justice Chair for Slow Food Atlanta, and proud member of the Atlanta Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International where she serves as co-chair for the Green Tables Committee. In 2019, she founded Feed the People Co. to help improve food access, affordability and equity in the community. “As a busy mother and teacher, I enjoy teaching people how to make quick, healthy, delicious recipes that the whole family can enjoy. Getting kids to eat their veggies is my superpower!”
