Why are you making these changes?

This is part of our commitment to help members get top quality care in a state-of-the-art facility. Our ‘Next Generation’ layout and workflows are designed to help you get personalized care more quickly.

We’re also adding several specialties to Cumberland to make it more convenient for more members to get care for widely used specialties like Cardiology and Orthopedics. We’re consolidating a few lesser-used specialties to our Glenlake location to bring them into one place closer to more members.

If a specialty I use is moving to Glenlake, will I still be able to see the same specialist at Glenlake?

  • Yes. Or you can see a different doctor in that specialty at any other available location.

Do I have to go to Glenlake (for the specialties that are moving), or can I go to another facility?

  • You can go to any other facility that has that specialty.

If I don’t want to see my specialist once he/she moves to Glenlake, do I need a new referral to see a different doctor (in that specialty) at a different location?

  • No

When are the last appointments available at Cumberland for the specialties leaving?

  • Appointments are expected to be available at Cumberland until mid-June.

For the specialties moving, when will I be able to view the appointments available at Glenlake?

  • Probably mid-June this year.

How do I make an appointment?

  • You can make an appointment the same way you normally would by visiting kp.org or calling 404-365-0966. Once a specialty has moved, the appointments available will reflect the physician’s new location.

Will I still be able to get all the other care/services at Cumberland I need during construction?

  • We don’t expect any disruption in services available.
