Type 1 Diabetes Education and Support (T1DES) Study is a pilot study to examine the feasibility of delivering a culturally tailored intervention (T1DES) to reduce diabetes distress and improve diabetes management among Black young adults with Type 1 Diabetes.

Type 1 Diabetes Education and Support (T1DES) Study is a pilot study to examine the feasibility of delivering a culturally tailored intervention (T1DES) to reduce diabetes distress and improve diabetes management among Black young adults with Type 1 Diabetes.

T1DES works with an advisory board to develop study text messages, adapt intervention content, and discuss ongoing intervention implementation.

Eligibility: Patients at Kaiser Permanente Georgia or Grady Health System who self-identify as Black, 18 through 30 years old, diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
