As a participant of the Home Based Cardiac Rehab program, you’ve likely undergone one of many different cardiac procedures, such as:
- Percutaneous Intervention (PCI)
- Coronary stent placement
- Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG)
- Coronary valve repair/replacement
Not having a full understanding of your procedure, or what to expect afterwards can be scary, and this may cause additional anxiety or stress that is not good for your heart health. It is important that you understand what your body experienced, and what you can expect in the coming days.
Your Case Manager will prescribe learning materials for you to review as well as review any recent cardiac procedures you have had. Your CM will help you understand your procedure and answer any questions you may have.
