Dr. Lasha Clarke is a Research Investigator I at the Center for Research and Evaluation. As a social epidemiologist committed to advancing health equity, Dr. Clarke leverages community-driven, mixed-methods research to address structural and systemic disparities in reproductive and maternal health outcomes.<\/p>\n

Dr. Clarke received her PhD and MPH in Epidemiology from Emory University and a BA in Psychology from Princeton University. Her career in public health spans academic, public sector, and community settings, including roles at Morehouse School of Medicine’s Center for Maternal Health Equity, state health departments across the southeastern United States, and the CDC’s Divisions of Reproductive Health and Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention. Dr. Clarke’s expertise encompasses the full reproductive health life course, with a focus on fertility challenges, preconception health, pregnancy, and postpartum care. Dr. Clarke’s service as a birth doula further informs her work with firsthand insights into the experiences of birthing people.<\/p>\n

Infertility diagnosis and care pathways<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The goal of this research is to examine referral and treatment patterns following infertility diagnosis among Kaiser Permanente Georgia members. This mixed-methods pilot study explores how clinical and system-level factors influence care pathways and will inform future approaches to support patients navigating fertility-related services.<\/p>\n
