Joshua Barzilay, MD

Dr. Joshua Barzilay is an endocrinologist in the Southeast Permanente Medical Group. His areas of research interest include diabetes and cardiovascular disease, the effects of albuminuria on health, and factors associated with hip fracture risk.

Dr. Barzilay completed his medical training at the State University of New York and his advanced training in endocrinology at the Joslin Clinic, Harvard University. During his fellowship at the Joslin Clinic, he did epidemiologic research and has continued conducting various research for over 30 years. Dr. Barzilay is on the editorial board of several medical and research journals and is on the adjunct faculty of the Division of Endocrinology at the Emory School of Medicine.
